IT Physical Infrastructure Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Goliath IT Physical Infrastructure Performance Monitoring is unique because of our ability to monitor not just your physical infrastructure, but also your virtual element. Our clients have to contend with physical and virtual infrastructure as well as cloud migration. This shouldn’t require multiple products. Simplify with Goliath. Monitor all of your applications, database, storage, network, Windows, and Linux/Unix from one console.

With Goliath, you can consolidate your IT monitoring tools and monitor your entire Virtual and Physical Infrastructure from a single console by seamlessly integrating metrics from your entire infrastructure. From that one location, you can correlate the performance of multiple IT elements including physical servers, virtual servers, network elements, applications, and virtual desktops either on-premises or in the cloud. Our reports and dashboards work across multiple platforms for your entire infrastructure and we have application modules that can help you monitor specific applications.

Applications

Goliath can manage any application. There are many applications that we monitor right out of the box and if they are not included in the base product, you can use our customizable monitoring rules to monitor your specific application whether it is custom or packaged commercial.

When managing applications there are several key components that need to be monitored to ensure application availability and maintain the end user experience. These include Processes, Windows Services, Files, Application Availability, Windows Event Log, Syslog, Performance Counters, and Custom Script.

Goliath Technologies has built modules for specific applications. These modules include out of the box monitoring capability, dashboards, graphs, and reports. The current modules include:

  • MySQL
  • SQL Server

Database

Goliath supports all database servers running on Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems, including proprietary databases. Microsoft SQL Server is our most commonly monitored database. We have out-of-the-box functionality that helps database administrators monitor the performance and availability of production databases. It is an agent and agent-less monitoring solution that provides preconfigured performance metrics for ensuring the SQL Server runs efficiently. SQL server monitoring has the ability to connect to the database source and monitor various databases to track uptime and availability. You can also analyze comprehensive server performance, including transactional speeds, database I/O, free log file space, log file cache hit ratio, and other components of your data stack.

Broad and Deep Visibility - Healthcare IT Standard

Storage

Administrators have an ever increasing challenge to understand how the storage solutions attached to their VMware ESX/ESXi and Citrix XenServer hosts are being utilized.

Goliath has the ability to give administrators visibility into the storage infrastructure to show overall availability of space, usage over time, and space consumption. This allows administrators to decide where they may be able to reclaim storage space, prevent unchecked storage consumption which can lead to low storage availability, and gain visibility into how snapshots may be impacting storage availability.

  • Gain visibility into how virtual disks, Snapshots, Templates, Orphaned VMs, and more are affecting storage availability on your Data Stores and Storage Repositories
  • Trend Storage IOPS, Throughput, and Disk Latency from the host and per virtual machine
  • Trend storage utilization over time
  • Quickly correlate between capacity, provisioned storage, and free space
  • See the correlation of virtual disks and snapshots to their respective virtual machines with provisioned and current physical size on disk

Network

Goliath provides Proactive monitoring for all of your network and infrastructure devices, such as switches, routers, and firewalls. Our products enable network engineers to monitor device status and connectivity, bandwidth, latency, and more to enable them to troubleshoot problems as they arise. We leverage SNMP, Syslog, PING, and protocol monitoring, such as HTTP, TCP, and UDP to generate alerts, dynamic graphs, and performance reports.
